Lt Col Paul Marshall MBE

Biography

Lieutenant Colonel Paul Marshall MBE Royal Logistic Corps was educated at Fleetwood Nautical College and Lincoln University. After leaving school in 1979 he was trained as a ships Navigator with Shell Tankers UK Limited before changing his career and joining the British Army in 1984. He has completed tours in Germany, Hong Kong, Northern Ireland and the USA. In 1998 he attended the Pakistan Staff College in Quetta.

He has extensive operational experience having completed the First and Second Gulf Wars and a deployment in Northern Ireland. He was made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Majesty the Queen, for his support to Operations in Northern Ireland between 1999. He has also completed tours in Bosnia Herzegovina in 1994 and 1997. He was the Operations Officer for the UK Defence Logistics Operating Centre from 2004-2007 and recently headed the Afghanistan material recovery cell 2010 -2012 in the Defence Equipment and Support Agency. He was also the UK Military Representative on the Defence Trade Cooperation Treaty between the USA and UK.

He is married to Angela who is accompanying him in Bosnia and Herzegovina and they have a daughter Imogen who is 17 years old and is at school in the UK. He is a keen offshore yachtsman and is qualified as a Yacht Master Offshore.
