Rushanara Ali was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on 9 July 2024. She has been the MP for Bethnal Green and Stepney (and its predecessor Bethnal Green and Bow) since May 2010.
