Sarah Hodgetts

Biography
Sarah is the Director of the National Data Library and Geospatial, as part of the Government Digital Service. She previously held the same role as part of the Geospatial Commission.
In the past, Sarah led the creation and set up the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) and the implementation and delivery of the government’s Industrial Strategy. Sarah has had senior positions in science policy and delivery across a career spanning programme delivery in numerous economic and central departments, including the Treasury and Number 10.
Director, National Data Library and Geospatial
The director is responsible for the:
- delivery of the National Data Library
- responsible policy and coordination of public sector geospatial data assets
- governance of public sector geospatial data assets, including the delivery of the National Underground Asset Register
