Biography
Sean Canavan, BA (Hons) MRTPI, MPA took up the post of Director of Strategy in April 2022. His previous role was Head of Strategy and Change at the Planning Inspectorate. Sean is a chartered town planner with over 30 years’ experience of planning gained in district and unitary councils, including Head of Development Management at West Berkshire Council and as Head of Performance Improvement at North Somerset Council.
Chief Strategy Officer, Planning Inspectorate
The Planning Inspectorate deals with all planning appeals in England, including national infrastructure planning, listed building appeals and rights of way orders.
