Seyi Obakin OBE
Biography
Seyi is Chief Executive of Centrepoint, the leading national charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK. He is also Chairman of Youth Futures Foundation and a member of the London Fire Brigade’s Audit Committee.
Previously, he served as a commissioner at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, a member of the HM Prison and Probation Service’s Audit and Risk Assurance Committee, and a member of the Social Security Advisory Committee.
In 2025, Seyi joined the advisory panel for the Independent Review of Carer’s Allowance overpayments, to support the Independent Reviewer by providing advice and acting as a critical friend to the review.
