Simon Earwicker
Biography
Simon Earwicker was appointed Division Head of Chemical, Biological and Radiological Sciences (CBR) Division in April 2015.
Simon joined the Civil Service in 1992 as a Scientific Officer and has wide experience within Dstl and across government. His previous roles at Dstl include:
- Department Manager Detection; Department Manager of Biomedical Sciences; and Group Leader in Detection;
- Secondment to MOD as a scientific advisor to the CBRN Equipment Capability area.
Simon is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Head, Chemical, Biological and Radiological Sciences (CBR)
A member of Dstl’s Executive team, the Head of CBR Division is responsible for leading and directing teams covering an integrated Chemistry, Biology, Radiation and Medical Sciences capability. The Division delivers longer term research as well as short term advice and consultancy, and supports both the Front Line Commands and wider Government.
