Stephen Bligh
Biography
Stephen Bligh became a BIS non-executive board member in September 2014. He is also the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee at BIS.
Stephen is a chartered accountant who retired recently after 34 years with KPMG. He has extensive experience of advising businesses on corporate governance, public and private company transactions and major projects in the real estate, construction, transport and professional services sectors.
Stephen has also had broader management responsibility for quality control, as well as systems implementation and outsourcing programmes. He has international experience in the US and Europe and is a non-executive director of the FTSE listed property company Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust Limited.
