Stephen Conlon

Biography

Stephen Conlon was appointed His Majesty’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan in May 2023. Prior to this, he studied Russian language full time.

Stephen started his career in 1999 as the Desk Officer in the Economic Policy Department in the FCO. Since then, he has worked in various positions, including at the UK’s Permanent Representation to the European Union. Before his appointment to Ashgabat, he was Head of European Parliament Team, at the UK Mission to the EU in Brussels from 2020 to 2022.
