Stewart Gilliland

Biography

Stewart Gilliland joined the DCLG board in December 2011and left in February 2013.

Education

Stewart studied business studies at the University of Sheffield and did the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard.

Career

Stewart spent 21 years working in the beer industry and held senior positions including:

  • Chief Executive of Interbrew UK and Ireland in 2002
  • Zone President for Interbrew Europe in 2005
  • Chief Executive of Müller® UK and Ireland from 2006 until his retirement at the end of 2010
