Dr Tim Leunig

Biography

Tim Leunig was the Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for Education between 2014 and 2017. From 7 September 2023 to 6 October 2023 he was the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Education.

He is also Associate Professor of Economic History at the London School of Economics.

He holds a PhD in economics, and has written widely on current and historical economic issues.

He is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society, the Royal Statistical Society, and the Royal Society of Arts.
