Biography

Holding both Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Engineering, Tim is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the design, construction and management of major infrastructure projects.

Tim’s career started out with highways and tunnels and he then moved to railways as a senior member of the Jubilee Line Extension Project team. Following that he joined Railtrack as Chief Engineer Southern Zone covering all the routes terminating at London’s Waterloo; Victoria; London Bridge; Charing Cross and Cannon Street stations. Returning to his construction roots Tim moved to CTRL to head the client team for the design and construction of the London section which included St. Pancras International station, eventually becoming Engineering Director on the Board of HS1. In 2012, Tim joined CH2M as Director High Speed Rail and was immediately seconded to HS2 were he was Head of Engineering and Operations within the Technical Directorate for the Phase One Hybrid Bill and lead engineering witness in Parliament.

​The Managing Director - Phase Two is responsible for the development of Phase Two of High Speed Two (HS2) which runs from Crewe to Manchester and the West Midlands to Leeds.
