Tom Betts
Biography
Tom Betts is a prominent leader in the field of digital technology, data, and artificial intelligence, with over two decades of experience transforming businesses and driving innovation across multiple industries.
As the founder of Many Numbers, a data and AI consultancy and advisory firm, Tom provides strategic guidance to global organisations on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to catalyse growth and enhance operational efficiency.
Tom’s executive career spans influential roles in major corporations. Most recently, he served as Group Data Director at Kingfisher Plc, a FTSE100 European retail group, where he pioneered the implementation of AI capabilities and data-driven strategies across the organisation. Previously, as Chief Data Officer at the Financial Times, Tom was instrumental in architecting the company’s highly successful digital subscription strategy.
Complementing his commercial endeavours, Tom is a member of the board of trustees at the education charity We The Curious, which operates one of the UK’s largest science centres.
Tom holds a Master’s degree in Informatics with a specialisation in Machine Learning from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from the University of Sussex.
