Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is an expert scientific advisory committee which advises the UK government on vaccination and immunisation matters.
Membership
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is looking to appoint a chair to the JCVI. The role would start in March 2025 to enable a smooth handover before the current chair finishes his term at the end of September.

Code of practice and conflicts of interests
The JCVI code of practice (PDF, 226 KB, 45 pages) provides information on how conflicts of interest are managed. It also sets out JCVI’s terms of reference.
Any conflict of interests declared by members of JCVI are now published as an annex to the minutes of each JCVI meeting.
Meetings, agendas and minutes
JCVI holds 3 committee meetings a year, usually on the first Wednesday of February, June and October. The draft minute of each meeting will published within 6 weeks of the meeting.
In some circumstances, when the frequency of meetings is increased, it may not be possible to upload meeting minutes within 6 weeks.
