Details

The Education Funding Agency (EFA) is responsible for providing funding in relation to high needs students (HNS) aged up to 18 and young people aged 19 to 24 starting a new course in further education if they are subject to a statutory Learning Difficulty Assessment (LDA) ) and / or education, health and care plan (EHCP).

An HNS is defined as a student who requires £6,000 or more of additional learning support.
