The department’s 2021 Measures to improve local audit delays confirmed further funding of £15 million per annum for eligible local audit bodies up until 2024/25 to support with local audit financial reporting and implement audit requirements related to Sir Tony Redmond’s recommendations.
Details for the 2023/24 allocations to individual bodies can be found in the 2023/24 Local Audit Grant technical note. Payments were made on 3 June 2024.
