I am making a request for information concerning proposed revised Home Office guidance on Police Injury Pensions. On the 11th September 2009 the then Minister of State for Security, Counter-Terrorism, Crime and Policing, David Hanson, M.P. announced at the annual conference of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) that he had ordered a review of the guidance contained in Home Office Circular 46/2004. To date no revised guidance has been issued. However, I understand that a draft, or drafts of the revised guidance has been circulated to NARPO and the Police Federation and their comments invited. I request a copy of any documents from NARPO and the Police Federation to the Home Office that contain the comments, criticisms, reactions or responses to the draft revised guidance. If a copy of the draft revised guidance has been circulated to other organisations (for example ACPO, or the Association of Police Authorities, then I also ask for a copy of any documents that contain the comments, criticisms, reactions or responses of those organisations to the draft revised guidance.
