Details
Those organisations that applied for funding through round one have now been notified of the outcome of their application. Around £10 million has been allocated to over 130 applications. Brief details of these applications can be accessed through the link below.
The second round of funding applications is now underway and closes on Thursday 30 September.
For round two, as with round one, funding for communications activities will be given in only a very limited range of circumstances (see Details of Children’s Palliative Care Funding document below). For round two, no communications activites exceeding £25,000 in support of a single project will be funded.
Round two will also consider applications from local organisations wanting to host “Square Table” discussions, to cover the direct costs of those discussions. A “Square Table” discussion is structured and carefully facilitated, between a range of key stakeholders from every part of the local community. Discussions focus on ideas for building on existing services and developing new approaches where appropriate and the ideas and agreements reached are followed up after the event.
Round one funding will enable Children’s Hospices UK and ACT to produce a Guide for facilitating a Square Table event and provide ongoing support for organisations who want to lead such a discussion in their local community.
