This year’s Rail Accident Investigators seminar welcomed speakers from Network Rail, RSSB and Dr Patrick Waterston of Loughborough University as well as some of our own inspectors.
The presentations included:
- An overview of the fatal accident at Margam
- Understanding how causal factors contribute towards track worker accidents and near misses
- Investigating the assurance arrangements
- Investigating compliance to 019
- Investigating loss of data on Cambrian lines
- The importance of Corporate Memory in accident investigation
- The use of Safety II in rail accident investigations
- RCIP - A new approach to road collision investigation
