To enable lessons from serious case reviews to be disseminated and implemented effectively, ‘Working together: 2010’ advises that recommendations should be few in number. Most analyses of recommendations assess whether they are or can become specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely.
The central aim of this study was to consider what part recommendations can play in aiding agencies and individuals to learn lessons to improve the way in which they work both individually and collectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
