Details

In December 2013, Lord Nash wrote to Andrew Tyrie MP to confirm the Department for Education’s support for the Durand Academy boarding project in West Sussex, subject to planning approval, and setting out the Department’s assessment of the project’s viability and value for money.

A copy of the letter, together with the Department’s cost benefit analysis and Durand’s revenue model is published on this page.

The Permanent Secretary, Chris Wormald, wrote to Amyas Morse, Comptroller and Auditor General, in similar terms.

On 23 May 2014 the Chief Executive of the Education Funding Agency, Peter Lauener, wrote to the Chair of Governors at Durand Academy Trust about financial and governance matters.
