The government has published its response to a public consultation which invited views on proposals for providing additional support for disabled people who are seeking elected positions as MPs, councillors or other elected officials.

‘Access to elected office for disabled people: A consultation‘ also considered ways of promoting opportunities for disabled people to realise their potential to become MPs.

This document summarises the responses recieved to the consultation and sets out the government’s response.
