Details
The Accessible Britain Challenge Awards recognise organisations that are making an outstanding contribution towards communities being accessible and inclusive. This may include councils, other service providers and businesses.
Nominations close at midnight on Friday 19 December 2014.
Categories
The 4 nomination categories are:
- improved mobility
- innovative use of buildings, spaces and places
- safer neighbourhoods
- inclusive social activities
How to nominate
Individual disabled people or disabled people’s organisations can nominate an organisation for an award. Please use the nomination form on this page.
The form has more information about the categories and awards.
You cannot nominate your own project, initiative, service or social activity. However, service users, recipients and participants can make nominations.

Judging
The judging of nominations will take place during January and February of 2015.
It is expected that there will be a shortlist of 3 nominations in each award category. We will inform nominees that are on the shortlist by mid February 2015 and publish the list.
We will announce the winners of each award at an event during March 2015 (date and location to be confirmed).
