This document is the Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment (ACRE’s) advice to government in considering a request from the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative to carry out a clinical trial of a genetically modified (GM) vaccine.

The committee decided that the trial would have no risk to human health or the environment, and recommended that the application should be approved.
