This document is the advice to government from the Advisory Committee on Releases to the Environment (ACRE) on an application (ref. C/ES/01/01) from Pioneer Hi-bred International to market maize variety 1507 in the EU. This maize is genetically modified for insect resistance and herbicide tolerance. The application includes cultivation in its scope.

ACRE concluded that this maize was unlikely to have adverse effects on human health and the environment in the context of its proposed uses, as compared with its non-GM counterparts.
