Details
The Department for Transport (DfT) awarded funding to local authorities to produce walking and cycling facilities via the Active Travel Fund, with tranche 1 funding allocated in 2020 and tranche 2 funding allocated in 2021.
DfT commissioned independent peer review of 2 reports completed as part of the Active Travel Fund tranche 2 evaluation. This evaluation covers the second tranche of the Active Travel Fund, with £180 million released to local authorities to deliver active travel interventions.
The peer reviews were completed by independent evaluation experts who are members of the evaluation and trial advice panel, which is managed by the evaluation task force in the Cabinet Office and His Majesty’s Treasury.
