For the years 2010/2011, 2011/2012 how many ADIs had their registration revoked when a criminal conviction came to light as a result of a CRB check?
2. Response
CRB checks are conducted on both existing approved driving instructors (ADIs) and also those who have applied to begin the qualifying process as a potential driving instructor (PDI). We have therefore supplied details of CRB checks conducted on both ADIs and PDIs. The table below shows the number of ADIs who have had their registration revoked due to the content of their disclosures on a CRB check; and the number of PDIs who were refused entry to the register because of the content of their disclosures, by financial year.
