Guidance for administering England National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) concessionary travel smartcard permits for older and disabled people.

The guidance includes information on:

• handling and protecting permit holder data
• ensuring the permits are correctly coded

It doesn’t give guidance on:

• permit eligibility
• calculating reimbursement for bus operators

This guidance is for English travel concession authorities but is also useful to bus and other transport operators with concessionary travel customers.

This guidance replaces the concessionary travel passes information published in 2009.
