Alk-Abelló complained about a website “live without allergies” published by Allergy Therapeutics. The complainant alleged that a prescription only medicine (a specific type of immunotherapy) was being advertised to the general public.
MHRA upheld the complaint. Allergy Therapeutics agreed to review the content of their website, reduce the emphasis on the role of immunotherapy for the treatment of allergies and provide a more balanced view of allergy treatment options.
