March 2021 Promotion of an unlicensed medicine by Aclardian Limited
Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Ltd complained about the distribution of a brochure for an unlicensed medicine by Aclardian Limited.
The information contained in the brochure was of the same nature as material withdrawn by the company after a previous complaint to the MHRA in April 2019. MHRA contacted Aclardian who conducted an investigation and found no instance of the brochure having been issued since April 2019. Therefore, no further action was taken. The company confirmed that they continue to ensure that material made available in response to unsolicited requests for information about an unlicensed medicine is of a non-promotional nature and is limited to answer the specific question asked.
