A healthcare professional complained about sales data presented at a meeting held with a Kyowa Kirin Ltd representative. The complainant alleged that out-of-date Clinical Commissioning Group data for the use of calcium and vitamin D products including Adcal-D₃ were presented at the meeting.
MHRA upheld the complaint regarding the out-of-date sales data presented at the meeting. Kyowa Kirin Ltd withdrew the Delivering Value App and made a commitment to ensure that the data used within any revised App is updated every 6 months. The material also contained prescribing information which was accessible through the iPad device.
