SUMMARY REPORT FOR PUBLICATION
November 2020: Promotion of homeopathic Bryonia Tablets
A consumer complained via their local Trading Standards team about an Amazon listing for Weleda Bryonia 30c Tablets. The complainant alleged that medicinal claims were being made for a homeopathic product without robust evidence.
MHRA upheld the complaint as the product is licensed under the Simplified Registration Scheme for homeopathic products without indications. Weleda reviewed the listings for all their 30c products on Amazon and took steps to ensure that third party sellers could not amend product information relating to Weleda products on Amazon in future.
