Lord Sharpe of Epsom, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Home Office, wrote to the chair of the Animals in Science Committee (ASC).
He accepts the committee’s advice to:
- further restrict the use of the forced swim test
- apply more scrutiny to proposals for its future use
He sets out plans to ultimately ban the test.
