Affinity Water Limited: application made to abstract water

Affinity Water Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 28/39/28/0480 which authorises the abstraction of water from Chorleywood, Batchworth, Mill End, Stockers and West Hyde in Hertfordshire, at Springwel, Blackford and Ickenham in Middlesex, and at Northmoor in Buckingamshire (the Blackford Group) centred around National Grid Reference TQ 0358 9773.
The variation applied for is to renew the time limited quantity of 2,920,000 cubic metres per year or the 8 Megalitres per day annual average equivalent. Renewal of Schedule B, which permits higher daily abstraction from West Hyde and Batchworth when certain conditions are met; and the review of monitoring locations. The remaining licensable quantities are to remain the same. There will also be the removal of certain monitoring conditions from Schedule B.
