AAIB Correspondence Investigations

These are reports on accidents and incidents which were not subject to a Field Investigation.

They are wholly, or largely, based on information provided by the aircraft commander in an Aircraft Accident Report Form (AARF) and in some cases additional information from other sources.

• Airbus A350-1041 (G-XWBL), unexpected turbulence, in flight over the coast of North Africa, 22 January 2023

• AW109SP (G-TAAS), helicopter arrival without landing site preparation or fire cover, Cardiff, 12 August 2022

• Dornier DO28 A-1 (N123CA), lost directional control during a crosswind landing in gusty conditions, Spanhoe Airfield, Northamptonshire, 26 November 2022

• Reims Cessna F406 (G-RVLY), loss of control in severe turbulence, 8 nm southwest of Isle of Man Airport, 23 November 2022

General Aviation

• Robin DR400/140B (G-BDUY), landed outside designated landing area, East Kirkby Aviation Centre, Lincolnshire, 16 June 2022
