This report presents the findings from an information-gathering exercise that focused on airport consultative committees (ACCs) and similar organisations.

It aims to give government a better understanding of ACCs and other organisations established to fulfil a consultation function for UK airports and aerodromes.

The report gives a full account of information gathered between February 2022 and March 2022. It considers a range of issues including:

  • current government guidance for ACCs
  • community engagement
  • funding arrangements
  • the importance of diversity
  • impartiality and sharing best practice
