The Planning Act 2008 requires the Secretary of State for Transport to review a national policy statement whenever the Secretary of State considers it appropriate to do so.

This document provides the Secretary of State for Transport’s decision on whether it is appropriate to review the Airports National Policy Statement in response to a number of review requests from external stakeholders.
