If you intend to brew, pack or hold beer in duty suspension, you must register for Beer Duty using form BPH1 at least 14 days before you start.

Fill in the form on-screen, print and post it to HMRC.

You must submit a site plan in addition to form BPH1 showing:

  • the position of the vessels or plant you intend to use in the production of beer
  • the equipment you intend to use in the packaging of beer if you’re a packager
  • where the beer is to be stored
