Details of the application

Alistair Allan and Cameron Allan trading as Allan Partners has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from drains within the Sutton and Mepal Internal Drainage Board at Langwood Fen, Chatteris at National Grid References TL 45660 85900 and TL 45463 85606.

The application is to abstract water for the purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation as follows:

  • 108 cubic metres an hour
  • 2,600 cubic metres a day
  • 77,283 cubic metres a year
  • between November and February inclusive in each year.
