Allen Newport Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number AN/033/0037/026 to abstract water from Marston’s Pit near Icklingham, Bury St. Edmunds an area between National Grid References (NGRs) TL 75895 71749, TL 75856 72199, TL 76010 72252 and TL 76215 71915 for the purpose of transferring it without intervening use to an un-named tributary of the River Lark at National Grid Reference TL 76006 72254.

The variation applied for is to extend the existing abstraction area to between NGRs TL 75459 72254, TL 75840 72271, TL 75131 70888 and TL 75250 70794.
