Details

You need to apply for a capital grants plan with the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) before you can use and claim this capital item.

Once you have your agreement, complete the American mink species management plan template to:

  • assess the impact that American mink are having on priority species on your land

  • record the control and monitoring methods you will use

  • create a map of your holding where you will control and monitor American mink

The completed template and map will be your American mink species management plan.

You should update your plan regularly and record any changes. Use continuation sheet A or B if you fully complete either of the tables in your plan.

Get your plan approved

You need to get your American mink species management plan template approved by Natural England. You should do this once you get your capital grants plan agreement with RPA.

Make a claim for payment

1. Submit a claim for payment using the Rural Payments service or a claim form.

2. Submit your template and map by post or email to RPA.
