Analytical recovery of aflatoxins:effect of spiking times

Details

A peer-reviewed technical paper describing a short term (0.5 – 65 hours) and a long term (1 hour - 8 weeks) investigation of the effect of contact time on spike recovery in peanuts, figs and chilli powder. The spiked samples were extracted with 60% acetonitrile, (80% methanol for dried figs and chilli powder) followed by immunoaffinity clean up. Aflatoxin concentrations were then determined using liquid chromatography with post column derivatisation and fluorescence detection.
