Angus Tulloch has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the Sapey Brook near Hollands Mill, Clifton on Teme, Gloucestershire at National Grid Reference (NGR) SO 69755 61378.

Water will be obstructed or impeded to facilitate the production of electricity via a waterwheel.

The scheme will also include provisions (notches) for downstream fish passage through the newly installed stepped weir. A bristled eel pass will also be installed, running alongside the waterwheel. As part of the works a failed weir located upstream at NGR SO 69753 61411 will also be removed.
