The Committee’s purpose is to examine areas of concern about the standards of conduct of public office holders, advise the Prime Minister accordingly, and to promote the highest standards of conduct across public life.
In this report, we describe the work we have carried our in our priority areas over the past year.
We published one major review, AI and Public Standards, and held a series of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the Committee.
We also commissioned external research mapping the range of standards institutions in England.
The Committee also followed up on its past reports into Intimidation in Public Life and Local Government Ethical Standards, and maintained a close and active watching brief on the implementation of measures intended to tackle bullying and harassment in parliament.
