Details

The 67th annual report by the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art and Objects of Cultural Interest. The report covers the period 1 May 2021 to 30 April 2022, in which 18 cases were considered by the Reviewing Committee. Fifteen cases were deferred by the Secretary of State following the recommendation of the Committee.

Three items were bought by institutions in the UK:

  • two albums of drawings and watercolours of Australian birds by the leading British and Australian ornithologist, John Gould (1804-1881)

  • the Nativity by Baldassare Tommaso Peruzzi, (1481–1536), Oil on panel

  • an early 17th century manuscript of French and Italian lute music containing some 320 lute pieces in French lute tablature
