Details

The 69th annual report by the Reviewing Committee on the Export of Works of Art and Objects of Cultural Interest. The report covers the period 1 May 2023 to 30 April 2024, in which 16 cases were considered by the Reviewing Committee.

In 11 cases, a decision on the export licence application was deferred by the Secretary of State following the recommendation of the committee on the basis that the item qualified as a national treasure. One item was found not to meet the criteria for national treasure status.
