IAG0721-01: Review the IAG Terms of Reference - OBSCC.
Completed: Reviewed, finalised and published.

IAG0721-02: Include issues raised in IAG meeting in the BSCC’s Annual Report - OBSCC / KS.
Completed - AR published.

IAG0721-03: Liaise with the ICO regarding their membership to IAG - KS.
Completed - ICO has withdrawn membership but willing to provide advice on ad hoc basis.

IAG0721-04: Raise ANPR misreads with Ministers - CH.
Completed - CC Hall has raised the importance of the matter via the Compliant Vehicle Initiative (CVI) Summit attended by the Policing Minister and Baroness Vere (DfT). The DVLA have the lead for the project to implement change. DVLA to update the IAG on progress with this project.

IAG0721-05: Provide more detail on how misreads in ANPR data could be actioned, and update on timescales for the 5 key recommendations to develop short term strategic change - LP.
An update will be provided at the meeting.

IAG0721-06: Liaise with Home Office for internal observations on the matter of ANPR misreads - FS/ OBSCC. Outstanding.

IAG0721-07: Provide another update to the group at the next meeting - CH.
An update will be provided at the meeting – agenda item 3.

IAG0721-08: CH to respond to the question raised by SS – are the police are seeing a lot of searches that bring back nothing i.e. the retention period ended before it was found to be useful - CH/AG.
Completed - Officers only search against a specific policing purpose within a defined date range, within the retention period. If data is deemed as important for ongoing enquiries it can be retained, with the appropriate justification ensuring both the need and proportionality of retention.

IAG0721-09: FS/OBSCC to raise the evidential use of ANPR data with FSR and ICO - FS/ OBSCC
Outstanding.

IAG0721-10: Repeat the national ANPR public engagement survey and assess whether the findings have changed and what may have caused this- HH.
Completed - It is the intension of the NPCC ANPR Portfolio to re-run the survey in Feb-23.

IAG0721-11: HH to engage with the wider public and experts to further develop the survey - HH.
Completed - The NPCC ANPR Portfolio engaged the regulators and wider stakeholders in the development of the 2021 survey and will consult again on the development of the next survey, planned for 2023.

IAG0721-12: Produce an update on correspondence with councils on cloud-based speed cameras - OBSCC/KS. Outstanding.

IAG0721-13- PD to provide an update on the rollout and efficiency of these ANPR cameras in relation to ULEZ once they have been implemented - CC.
Outstanding - We are currently awaiting approval from the Mayor’s office for an in principle decision for TfL to share ULEZ data with the MPS. In our last communication with the Mayor’s office on 28/02/22 we were advised that this matter was pending review by the Deputy Mayor however no timescale was provided.
