Details

Anti-Dumping Duty (ADD) on imports of silicon will continue for a further 5 years, with a rate change from 6 July 2016.

ADD is an Import Duty charged in addition to normal Customs Duty. It’s applied across the whole of the EU.

It’s designed to allow the EU to take action against goods that are sold at less than their normal value - being defined as the price for ‘like goods’ sold in the exporter’s home market.
