Appeals can be made to the traffic commissioner against the decision of a local authority to:
- refuse an application for a service permit;
- attach condition(s) to a service permit when it is granted;
- attach condition(s) to an existing service permit;
- suspend a service permit; or
- revoke a service permit.
Operators should use form FCH001 to make an appeal to the traffic commissioner within 28 days of the local authority’s decision.
Local authorities should use form FCH002 to respond to an appeal made by an operator.
