Directions under section 31A of the Registered Designs Act given in relation to design forms for requesting a formal written statement of grounds and for appealing against a decision to the Appointed Person

- The registrar has given the following Directions under section 31A of the Registered Designs Act 1949 (“the Act”).
- These Directions direct the use of new forms:
* form DF5 for requesting a formal written statement of the reasons for the registrar’s decision where such a statement has not already been provided, as set out in Schedule 1 (PDF, 575KB) to these Directions
* form DF55 for appealing against the registrar’s decision to the Appointed Person, as set out in Schedule 2,(PDF, 554KB) to these Directions
- These Directions come into force on 6 April 2015.
