Apply for Marriage Allowance by post
Use form MATCF to apply for Marriage Allowance to transfer 10% of your Personal Allowance to your husband, wife or civil partner.
You must use form MATCF to apply for Marriage Allowance by post. Any other postal claims will not be accepted.
You and your husband, wife or civil partner can use this form to apply for Marriage Allowance. This lets one of you transfer 10% of your Personal Allowance to the other, who can then claim the value of that allowance.
The quickest way to apply for Marriage Allowance is online. If you do, you’ll get an email confirming your application within 24 hours.
If you’re applying on behalf of someone else
If you’re making a claim for someone else, charging a fee for this and want the repayment to be paid to you, find out what you will need to do to receive Income Tax or PAYE repayments on behalf of others.
How to complete the form
You need to:

Complete it on-screen or print it off.

Post it to the address shown on page 3 of the form.
